Collective Real-Time Controller
Collective Control: One continuous control MIDI device allows you to go from legato through marcato, and more
Go from any articulation to any other articulation
The 8 Real-Time articulation sliders and the Sul Pont-Sul Tasto slider, when used in combination, provide all articulations from Legato through Marcato, etc. The performances are not pre-recorded but are put together in real time — the way a synth puts together attacks and releases with short tone and long tone samples.
Go from Legato to Marcato, for example
Legato is achieved by moving the Attack Amount slider down and Attack Time up. Marcato is achieved in the opposite manner They are left independent so that you can adjust the precise degree of Legato/ Marcato settings that you like.
Collective Control
Choose any MIDI hardware controller to simultaneously move any of the 9 sliders in any direction. This process allows you to move seamlessly from one type of articulation to another without any button pushing.
Hardware MIDI Controller
The Collective Control MIDI Preference page is where you set these parameters. You can assign any (or all) of the 8 large articulation sliders, as well as the smaller Sul Pont-Sul Tasto slider, to any hardware MIDI controller device you wish, and you can change each sliders’ direction and upper/lower limits. You can also save up to 8 "scenes" (sets of controller settings) for instant recall. Different scenes can use different MIDI controllers.
