Make any size orchestra in a single load

Variable Orchestra Size?

Unlike other libraries that force you to pre-determine what size orchestra or ensemble you want and load those samples, our DVZ libaries let you load the full orchestra at once, then de-select individual desks as you wish, down to a single player. You can do this in real time, and size changes are automatable, too.

Why is variable size important?

Each project requires its own size orchestra. This feature allows you to precisely size the orchestra to the project, in fact to the individual scene, rather than having to write around the available samples. You can write mock-ups for the exact number of budgeted players, thus avoiding unaffordable surprises at the live session.

How does it work?

Each desk is discretely sampled in our DVZ libraries. The DVZ core engine GUI (see above) lets you click to deselect desks; no notes are allocated to deselected players. DVZ simply allocates the notes played to the players that remain active. Since samples remain loaded, you can instantly reactivate players at will.

Augmenting live players

When you want to enhance a live session, 70 DVZ Strings lets you quickly set the number of active players. Along with DVZ’s other features such as alternate tunings and temperaments and real-time continuously-adjustable articulations and styles, you can now precisely match the samples to the live sound.
