SPACE allows you to place any desk anywhere

Create your own floor plan

When you position a player with SPACE, you’re not just panning. You’re accurately putting the player in the virtual room perspective. For example, you can establish a classic film recording seating arrangement with first and second violins on the same side or you can move Violins II to the right for a traditional European concert stage seating arrangement... or experiment. Then add your reverb to taste.

SPACE’s mixer helps you to balance the stems

SPACE has five large sliders that allow you to precisely set the overall output level of each of the five section stems. If you run five Kontakt VST instances in a host (such as AudioPort Universal or AudioMulch), you can bring five discrete audio tracks into your sequencer or mixer and you don’t necessarily need to adjust these sliders. However, if you're working with a audio card and don’t use a VST host, then Kontakt Player standalone gives you just one stereo output so these mixing controls become very helpful.

Save SPACE setups for instant recall

You can save your SPACE configuration as a preset file... as many of them as you like. You can load any two of these presets into SPACE for instant A—B switching either to compare values or for sonic changes at the touch of a button. For example, suppose you have changed to a smaller orchestra (deactivating players) and you also want the environment to become more intimate to match the orchestra size. Just select a SPACE layout with players closer in and with more spot mic, less room mic distance, and less ambience (as explained in the SPACE Recording Environment page).
